Busy June.

Whew! I think I can take a break for five minutes in July but May and June were busy months for events and invitations. Our first wedding for one for which I made a Julian Roberts dress…I’ll post about that later. In the arts field my dear friend Georgia Ferrell owner of Artemisia Gallery in Westport Ontario, had an opening for local artist Stephen Rothwell….beautiful watercolours!                                          We drove up for the event and to take some pictures for Georgia who was busy with the food for the event.

Georgia Toasting….

Here is my husband Clint (in one of my hand knits) with Stephen. Turns out there was a lot of connection between the two and they did a lot of gabbing!

At the One of a Kind show I was informed there was to be a Ontario Rug Hookers AGM at a local hotel in Kingston so I took it in on the Sunday when it was open to the public.

Here are some of the hooked items I really liked and found inspirational…they were all amazing. There were hooked pieces that were designed by designers and hooked by hookers. I don’t know much about it but I know what I like.

A motif that was executed by a number of members of  one guild.

This one was amazing! What a lot of work designing this one!

I loved these houses.

Round and round we go!

Getting back to Artemisia Gallery, we’re off up to Westport on Friday night (after setting up my tent in City Park, Kingston for Artfest Kingston) for the her season’s opening. Then I’m hanging in the park all weekend for the show.
