Carolyn M. Barnett Designs was born in Toronto in 1982 and relocated to Kingston, Ontario, Canada when I moved here in 1995. I had specialized in one of a kind, hand-loomed knit cardigans & jackets and wraps using wool and cotton…My Knit Artwear!….and my Felted Wearables…for 43 years.
Now retired but still creating in my studio (an artist never stops) some of my work may still be available at my Etsy shop and directly from me.
Founded in Toronto in 1982, on June 2nd 2022 I celebrated over four decades as an artisan.
Artfest once again was a lovely event and I enjoyed it... especially as it will be my last time there.
Next Summer I'll be wandering around visiting artists I didn't get to see this year (didn't get out of my booth much). I'll be available for pee breaks!
I'll still be hanging around in my Kingston studio.

Something a little different from my studio.
Simple sewn jacket of cotton with patches of colourful fabric free motion stitched on the body and sleeves. Sewn covered buttons.
